Friends! So glad you’re here, looking to double down and make some tangible progress (cha-ching) in your Etsy store. Let me show you how my shop began its upward trajectory after implementing my *20 Minute Mornings* routine.
It should go without saying, there are some things you need to have in place already. You DO need to have a good product, keyword research for SEO, quality photos for listings, keywords in your titles, description, and materials, and have stellar customer service. If you’re looking for an overnight success, this process is not for you (and really, overnight successes are just for lottery winners and game show contestants anyway). Most people who succeed would say it’s been a steady run of one foot in front of the other over a period of time.
If you have these foundational aspects of an Etsy shop in place, the 20 Minute Mornings are ready and waiting for you.
Let’s talk numbers. My first year on Etsy, July 2018-July 2019 I was really just getting my feet wet. More of a “what do I have to lose?” mentality (which is what makes Etsy SO great). I spent a lot of time in the first half of 2019 listening to podcasts, reading articles and YouTube-ing how to break into the Etsy algorithm… and actually make sales.
I put my 20 Minute Mornings into practice in July of 2019 and would you look when my numbers started to climb? (see graph A below) You guessed it, from July 2019 – August 2019 I had the most orders I had ever made in a month’s time and as you can see each month was better then the previous month.

Remember, we are talking baby steps here. I floundered around for 13 months attempting to hit the piñata with my eyes covered. The odds were not in my favor. To try 20 Minute Mornings over the course of a month, and see results had me SUPER hopeful. It was my first go at trying a plan and seeing results, however small they may be.
But was it coincidence? Each month I was making a little more, selling a little more, and showing up in Etsy searches. I was no longer the LAST listing of every search but slowly (think 6+ months) scooted my way to the first 10 pages of most searches with my keywords.
By January 2020 I was a well-oiled one-woman machine because the 20 Minute Mornings became a part of my daily routine. Almost 3 years later, I still have these practices in place. But don’t think you’ll be tied to 20 Minute Mornings every day for the rest of your business-life. When you build up your reputation as an Etsy shop owner that “shows up” you can be less rigid with the tasks.
Now, let’s look at overall growth from 2019 through 2020.

This represents a 665% increases for year over year growth from 2019-2020 (it's bonkers). As of right now, we are half way through 2021 and our projected growth is an estimated 65% increase, still considerably above the national sales growth percentage year over year of 15%-45%, and we are in the top 2% of sellers on Etsy!
Okay, no more numbers. Math makes my creative brain hurt.
What this comes down to is my experience and history of putting these practices into place and coming out on the other side with pretty incredible results. I don’t make 6 figures, I don’t have 4 houses, or a jet. But I have managed to successfully be a stay-at-home mom, AND significantly contribute to my family’s income.
